SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
FOR ARTISTS/COMPOSERS

This page presents the Agreement required to submit recordings to the Classical Archives. Below, you will also find a list of the information and supporting material necessary for a complete submission.

SUBMISSION AGREEMENT

In making a submission to the Classical Music Archives ("CMA"), which is owned by Classical Archives LLC, you (a "contributor") expressly undertake, represent, and agree with the following:

You are sending works you know are now in the public domain or, if the works compositions/scores/ arrangements are not in the public domain, you have received the express written permission from the appropriate copyright holders to perform and record the work and submit it to the CMA for permanent inclusion at no charge to the CMA.

If you are not the performer of the work, you have also received express written permission from the appropriate copyright holders of the performance (including the recording thereof) to submit the performance to the CMA for permanent inclusion at no charge to the CMA. In any event where permission of copyright holders is required, you will disclose that fact to CMA and also enclose a copy of the authorizations from the copyright holders with respect to the work and/or performance.

You give the CMA express permission to include the submitted works and performances, listed in Appendix A below, in the Classical Music Archives in MP3 format - as well as in Windows Media, RealAudio, or other format rendition the CMA may make of your file; and you also give permission to our visitors to listen to and sometimes copy (download) your submitted files (in any format) within the limits indicated in the copyright page at: http://www.classicalarchives.com/copy.html.

You understand and agree that you contribute your music files to the CMA at no charge to the CMA, and that all such music files in the CMA can be listened to or downloaded at no charge by our users. You also understand and agree that under certain circumstances, the CMA may collect a charge from users who wish to listen to or copy more than the maximum allowed or from users who require special renditions. You agree that such charges, if any, are for the sole benefit of the CMA and that they are not intended for remuneration to our contributors. In any event, there is no charge to visitors for listening specifically to your performance(s), and Classical Archives, LLC receives no revenue from visitors listening specifically to your performance(s). Although we encourage subscriptions to support the site and to enable subscribers to download more files and other formats than are available to non-subscribers, CMA is a free site, and all its contents can be viewed and heard by anyone, free.

Note that although a composition/score may be in the public domain, you still retain the copyrights of the Audio, MIDI or MP3 file you perform and submit to the CMA.

CMA reserves the right to accept or reject submissions at its sole discretion.
